A Garden Wedding in Taormina
Tia and Tom were married in Taormina in September 2025, and what a lovely day it was to be part of.
Their civil ceremony took place in the gardens of Palazzo Duchi di Santo Stefano — one of Taormina’s most historic buildings, and a place we are always so happy to return to.
There is something rather special about saying “I do” in the open air, surrounded by greenery and centuries of Sicilian history. It is intimate and elegant all at once, and it suited Tia and Tom beautifully.

By the Sea at the Excelsior Palace
After the ceremony, everyone made their way to the Excelsior Palace Hotel for the reception.
The celebration unfolded in the hotel’s gardens and out on the terrace facing the sea — that wonderful Taormina combination of greenery, open sky and the Ionian stretching away below.
A garden ceremony at the Palazzo and a sea-facing reception at the Excelsior: two of our favourite Taormina settings, brought together in one day.
